Blast From the Past

OK. Since my 2011 goal of drawing every day has met with a fizzle, I decided I would start posting some pages from old sketchbooks. I started keeping sketchbooks in college, where it was required for some art classes. We had to turn them in at the end of the semester and they were part of our grade.

I graduated from college in December 0f 1996 and I didn’t really keep up with drawing. In April of 1997 I got my first job as a graphic designer and also discovered Dan Price and the Moonlight Chronicles around the same time.

I had never seen a sketch journal before and I was blown away. I bought an el-cheapo 5.5 x 8.5 spiral bound sketchbook and started drawing away. The first series of pages I’ll post over the coming weeks and months will be from that sketchbook unless otherwise noted.
